Mental Ill Health on the increase

Stress, anxiety and depression were the cause of half of the work-related illnesses in the last year the according to the Health and Safety Executive. More than 800,000 people experienced work related stress, anxiety or depression in 2020-21, unsurprisingly coronavirus was a major factor in poor mental health. However other causes, including, rising workloads, violence, lack of support, threats bullying and changes at work were all mentioned.
