The Government has announced that digital right to work checks are to be made permanent from April 2022. The change was set to end on 5th April this year and had been put in place to help with remote working as a response to the pandemic. The move has met with a positive response from employer groups, with recruiters remarking that the system is easier and quicker, reducing the time it takes to get candidates into work while increasing compliance and helping keep staff safe.
